Bob Quick
Executive Director & Founder
Global Secure Accreditation

Simon is a former Scotland Yard detective, having served in the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) for 30 years, operating within the covert policing arena, across the fields of counter terrorism, serious & organised crime and anti-corruption.

Simon investigated complex and high-profile cases, whilst also undertaking a number of strategic projects, engaging with key stakeholders from ministerial to practitioner level. In a career highlight, Simon designed, wrote and then tactically delivered the National Covert Security Strategy for the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games.

Since leaving the MPS, Simon has gained extensive consultancy experience in the commercial sector, operating at Director level within companies involved in security and risk management across the hospitality & travel sectors, as well as a complex security sector reform project in North Africa. Simon has a highly regarded professional reputation, based on his exceptional strategic decision making and risk management capabilities, often delivered in fast-moving situations and high-risk environments, both nationally and internationally.

Simon is an active member of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management and the Association of Security Consultants.

Simon was employed as a Project Director for a key strategic capacity and capability building programme in North Africa. Managing a team of over 50 expatriates and 20 local nationals, he was my senior in country lead.

Simon’s approach was always measured, thoughtful, calm and efficient; he had a deep understanding of the subject matter and the client’s needs, and how to get the most of the team he worked with. This ensured, despite the challenging nature of the local environment, expectations were exceeded and ultimately the programme was recognised nationally, and internationally, as a success.

Simons professional and diligent approach undoubtedly played a significant part in ensuring that success. He was a credit to my senior leadership team.
